Modem quang RS-422 là bộ chuyển đổi RS422 sang sợi quang thực hiện việc truyền tín hiệu RS422 trên sợi quang. Sản phẩm này đã giải quyết được vấn đề mâu thuẫn giữa khoảng cách truyền thông và tốc độ truyền thông của cổng RS422. Đồng thời, nó cũng đã giải quyết được vấn đề nhiễu điện từ và sự phá hủy của sấm/ sét, do đó nâng cao đáng kể độ tin cậy, bảo mật và quyền riêng tư của truyền thông dữ liệu.
