Bộ chuyển đổi framed E1 sang V.35 cung cấp khả năng chuyển đổi giữa giao diện E1 tiêu chuẩn ITU-T G.703 và cổng V.35. Bộ chuyển đổi V.35 nhận ra chuyển đổi V.35 qua E1 và cung cấp kết nối liên lạc thông suốt an toàn giữa các thiết bị khác nhau với các giao diện khác nhau. Nó có thể sử dụng ngẫu nhiên khe thời gian từ G.703 E1 để tạo kênh V35 N * 64K (N = 1-32), phù hợp với thiết bị chưa sử dụng một phần khe và thiết bị truyền dữ liệu chỉ có đầu ra V35. Chế độ giao diện dữ liệu là DCE, có thể kết nối với thiết bị DTE hoặc DCE.
